We need both bunkers for our apple pie sale. Thank you! Emmaus Meals: We are looking for individuals to donate items and volunteer their time for this meal for the Salvation Army on Saturday, July 12th. There are sign-up sheets on the table in the narthex indicating shift times and items needed. If you have any questions, contact Jodi Voss 894-2731. Fond du Lac Food Pantry: The flood in Fond du Lac has severely depleted the supplies at two of the major food pantries. They are in need of any non-perishable food items, paper products in particular. There are bins in the narthex that are marked. Please consider giving to this cause. Thank you! Penny Pail offerings for the month of July will go to support our trip to Back Bay Mission in Biloxi, MS. Kiel Picnic Sunday: The consistory decided there will be no worship here at Bethel on Sunday, August 10, 2008. Instead, we encourage you to participate in the Ecumenical Service at the KMB Memorial Band Stand (located behind St. Peters UCC) at 9:30 a.m. In case of rain the service will be held at St. Peter’s UCC. Monetary offerings will go to support the Good Samaritan Fund. We also ask that you bring non-perishable food items for the Kiel Community Pantry. You will have perfect parking for the parade which begins at 11:30 a.m. See you there! Paul Todd in Concert: Paul is a Christian artist. Paul accompanies himself by playing six keyboards simultaneously. The concert will be at St. Peter’s UCC, 424 Fremont St. Kiel. The concert will be Tuesday, July 22 at 7:00 p.m. The cost of the tickets are $15 for adult,$5 for children 12 and under. The tickets are available at the church office Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. until noon. Call 894-2404 for more information. Youth Fellowship Volleyball Games begin at 7:00 p.m.July 6 – Saron @ Bethel July 13 – Bethel @ St. Johns July 20 – Bethlehem @ Bethel July 27 – Bethel @ Saron (game does not count in the standings) August 3 (12:15 p.m.) Tournament at Cleveland Park Our church picnic will be held in conjunction with the Vacation Bible School Program scheduled for Saturday, August 2. We are looking for a few individuals to help coordinate activities for the picnic. If you have a gift for games and activities contact Rev. Sara for more details. These youth need stable, loving care until they can either safely reunite with their families or establish other lifelong relationships with a nurturing adult. May is National Foster Care Month. NO matter how much time you have to give, you have the opportunity to do something positive that will “Change a Lifetime” for a young person in foster care. We need volunteers to help serve the meal at Bridgeway House and/or support the program with a $30 donation. A sign up sheet is on the table in the narthex. Bridgeway House, is also in need of the following items. Your donations are welcome at any time. For the month of June; we are especially in need of Fresh, canned or frozen Fruits. You can give these to your delegate or drop them off at Bridgeway. McDonald’s Neighbors Program – Sheboygan County Interfaith's Day care programs, Building Bridges and Little Bridges is part of the McDonald’s Neighbors Program. Now you can help our daycare by collecting and saving purchase receipts from area McDonald’s restaurants. The receipts you collect and save can then be redeemed by Building Bridges/Little Bridges for a wide variety of high quality educational supplies.
