The members at Bethel U.C.C are strongly committed to life-long learning. We know it is important to build a strong foundation in Christian education for our children. The children of the church attend Sunday school from approximately age 4 through grade 6. Children meet each Sunday morning during the school year for a time of worship and learning. During the summer, they attend Bible school for one week. The week focuses on a Christian theme and the children complete lessons, learn songs and make crafts based on the theme. Sunday school teachers are members of the church who dedicate their time and talents to teaching the youth Christian values and lessons from the Holy Bible.
At Bethel U.C.C., we believe learning continues through adulthood and offer several options for us to grow as Christians. An adult Bible study is offered and focuses on various topics and it includes discussion. For those members who would like more education or the possibility of being sanctioned by the church, the Wisconsin Conference holds Lay Academy. There members attend weekend seminars for two – three years that deal with various aspects of the U.C.C. faith. Whether young or old, we know we continue to learn and grow in our faith together and learn from one another. |
